Events at The Chequers

NEW!!! Regular Sunday Quiz Nights starting 10th February 2008

Annual Events:

The Chequers hosts a number of annual events and is integral to events arranged by the village of Smarden including regular cricket matches, fetes and summer parties, details of which may be posted here or alternatively call us for details.

A long standing event at The Chequers is the annual August Beer Festival

Held the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of August, it centres around a Marquee in the garden serving some 20 or more ales and ciders. Saturday is Vintage Car day, Friday and Saturday evening sees live music, and along with plenty of food, B.B.Q's etc, the whole weekend makes a great event! Our great Sunday menus are of course also still available.

We also try to do something special for all the 'Notable Dates' in the calendar so why not join us for some of the following:

14th February - St. Valentines Day - how about a romantic dinner for two - View Menu>>>
2nd March - Mothering Sunday - spoil that special person in your life
23rd March - Easter Sunday - join us for a family lunch
